Well I know I haven' posted in a long time but here goes.
My path is somewhat overgrown right now. I am not a CVT i didn't pass the boards but thats ok. I would be lying if I told you that I wasn't hurt or upset. But I have always been a true believer in things happening for a reason. So we will see what window opens now that one door has slammed in my face.
I have started my own business, well as one of my lawyer friends just told me I shouldn't say that I am started my own LLC. I have been talkin about it for years and now it has started.
I getting very excited about this weekend I am going to Mexico with the gang and I am supper stoked.
So although I am not sure which path I am going to be headed down next I know that I am happy where I am right now. I have lots of friends and the perfect boy to come home to every night.

Love
I lay in bed,
I turn and see you there,
I am in love.
I check my messages,
I hear you voice,
I am in love.
I come home,
I feel your embrace,
I am in love.
I shed my tears,
I have your shoulder,
I am in love.
We disagree,
We have our moments,
We are in love.
We share a kiss,
We lay down,
We are in love.
We snuggle close,
we watch the show,
We are in love.
We have our ups,
We have our downs,
We are in love.
We hold hands,
We make our promise,
We are in love.
I turn and see you there,
I am in love.

SUMMER YAY!!!!
Well it is summer and I have got to enjoy mine a lot. I have finished taking my boards(!!!!!!) and am just waiting the 6 - 8 weeks to get my results. ( i am not sure how it can take that long to grade a scan-tron) With the big test behind me I have been having lots of fun.
We went to the Depot for the first time in a long time and it was so much fun. I got to see people I haven't seen in years. I got a little drunk and sang the night away.
This past weekend I did something that haven't done in way too long, we went camping! Even though we didn't have any Hot dogs and just about as soon as we started the fire and got settled we were told we had to put out the fire and we were told we would have to move. It was still a great time. Luckily the people in the cabin next to the place we were camping were nice enough to let us stay (thank you Aaron's grandparents!). We played a game of " Drink While You Think" (thank you Clint) a game the always ensure you get good and drunk, followed up by a game of 'Truth or Dare". It was more like a game of "Truth or Truth", I was the only one that did a whopping 2 dares. The first was to sing "i'm a little Tea pot", the second was to giving be sleeping roommate a lap dance. This was very difficult because Kevin was laying down and it is hard to do a lap dance on someone laying on their side.
The only thing that has been in my past summers that hasn't happend yet this year is a game of Volley Ball but I am sure we will remedy that soon!!

My life until June 15 th
I hate studying!!!!
so I decided to procrastinate and write in my blog instead of "hit the books" like I should be doing. Right now (well not at this moment) I am trying to prepare myself for both the state and national boards to be come a C.V.T. (certified vet tech) and i am realizing now that I should have started studying long long ago. But I didn't so I am left doing what anyone would do in my situation, I am going to cram, cram like no one else has ever crammed before. By this I mean study all you sickos need to get your mind out of the gutter.
So if anyone wants to go and sit at a coffee shop let me know I won't be much company my nose will be in a book but I'll be there!!

P.M.A.
What is P.M.A you might be asking yourself??? P.M.A. Is remembering to have a Positive Mental Attitude!! This is some thing that my mom always use to say to herself while she was getting her Chemotherapy treatments. And to this day when I am feeling really stressed out about things I remember my mom sitting there bald headed and telling me that I had to remember to keep the P.M.A alive.
Where I work we put in 10 - 12 hour days and we are working really hard the entire time. Sometimes we all get stressed and tired but there are some of my co-workers that have lost the P.M.A. and it is getting really old to hear them all bitch and complain every day. We are all tired we all have missed a lunch or 2 but unfortunately the sick pets can't wait.
When people get frustrated I try and bring up the point that, I wouldn't want to have to go to an emergency clinic and I would hope that my vet would do the same. They just kind of ignore it.
I still love my job. I work for an amazing person who treats her entire staff with kindness, but I am really getting fed up with some of my co-workers. It is starting to rub off on me. The reason I put in these long hours is because I love what I do, but right now its getting hard to go to work with a smile, not because we are slammed or because I know I might not get a lunch, but its the fact that I know that my co-workers are going to be in a negative pissed off mood all day long.
So the next time you think that life sucks look for a little perspective. A person who was bald headed was able to smile and remind me (a person with my health, a roof over my head, and people that love me) to keep the P.M.A. alive. Do yourself a favor take just a second right now, stop what ever you are doing take a deep breath in and smile.

Dr. Kevorkian
The little dog that I talked about in the previous post was put to sleep because the new owners felt that she wasn't improving quick enough. When I heard that today I broke down. It was amazing to see how far that little dog came in such a short amount of time. The owners brought her back to us and we told them it was going to take some time for her to get better, but the next day they took her to emergency and they preformed the euthanasia there. Even though i didn't know her long I know Baby is one that I will never forget.
I don't understand how a person could spend months trying to catch the dog, take the time to take it to the vet to have it checked out and then give up on it after a week. I guess they did what they felt was best for Baby and I shouldn't ever judge someone for making the decision for letting their pet go peacefully. I guess that i am just really sad about the whole because like I said Baby was one of the ones that truly did touch my heart.
Its when things like this happen that my job becomes more difficult. I don't want to say that there is ever an easy euthanasia but sometimes (even when I have known the dogs for years) its almost comforting to see a pet finally at rest. I guess that's why I really don't see the problem with Dr. Kevorkian sometimes life is just too painful. I do feel great full that I work in a field where we have euthanasia as an option.
Well this was a happy post but it was what was on my mind.

Work
So I love my job and you will all probably get sick of hearing about my work.
Today was another day that made me remember why I do what I do. This dog came in today that had been living on the streets since before the holidays. The story goes that the person who owned this little dog was an elderly woman who passed away several months ago and the neighborhood had been trying to catch the two little dogs since. They were finally able to bring in one today.
This little black dog who is now being called "Baby" is so sweet. When the people first brought her in it looked like she had cast covering all four of her feet. From the shoulder/hip down this dog was solid with matts. her mouth was barely able to open due to the matts around her mouth. Lucky for Baby we had a slow day and we were overstaffed so 3 of us started shaving. After about 30 mins we had her legs free and then we thought she would look much better if we went ahead and cut her short all over. Well she looks great she did have a lot of dandruff so Lisa and I decided to give her an anti-dandruff bath, she is so sticking cute now.
It was sad when we went to walk her each step she took she was shaking her feet. God knows how long it had been since her feet (not the matts) had touched the ground. I forgot to mention that her toe nails were the only thing you could see sticking out of the matts. I am not kidding you her dewclaws were3 inches long and the rest of the nails were not much shorter.
God only know how long this poor dog had been living like this probably for years . She looked so happy (and way cute) after her hair cut and bath.
SO I am in a great mood and feel like I really mad a difference in little Baby's life!
